My name is Colleen Kienbaum, RN-BSN, and I am a nurse that specializes in writing and developing medical content. After working eight years in the medical field as a bedside nurse, I am proud to own my own business as a freelance writer, RN With A Pen LLC, bringing knowledge and experiences forward. I have worked in the peri-anesthesia setting for over five years. Before peri-anesthesia, I worked full time in a busy level II emergency department at a Magnet hospital. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in health sciences. Currently, I am CPAN/CAPA certified and have received workplace accolades regarding patient safety, quality service delivery, and education. I have strong computer and documentation skills and enjoy the dynamic role nurses play in modern healthcare.
